Safelock is now sRCA, again

The Safelock technology was initially developed under the working title sRCA, or SuperRCA as in Super Rolling Circle Amplification, the Super referring to the extra second step of rolling, achieving the outstanding superiority.

The technology was then renamed to Safelock, but when we realized just how natural the sRCA had become, and that it had stuck with other researchers, we decided to go back to the roots and formally name the technology sRCA as in SuperRCA.

The sRCA technology is the result of 10+ years of research at The Department of  Immunology, Genetics and Pathology at Uppsala University. The method is based on rolling circle amplification and padlock probe technique, combined into a single tube assay for super sensitive nucleic acid sequence detection.
